It really sounds like you might have different units set in your files.
Just try the different options and I'm sure you'll get them in.

Check the size of one of the rooms though to make sure you aren't bringing in a 10m room at 10000m.

Really weird.. never experienced anything like that before.
Can you save as another (older) type of DXF?
I doubt that IES have changed the DXF import for years (pre-2004 most likely) so maybe if there's another export option from AC it might be more stable?
