Hi all,
I was hoping someone could help with this. I have a project where a new building (multi-residential) will be constructed on a site with an existing gas-fired DHN that it will connect to, which will provide space heating and DHW generation. I've run the VE Compliance calcs and am failing badly on the DHW energy consumption, which is more than double that of the notional. The space heating is sailing through, with demand roughly 25 % of that of the notional. I've been through the inputs and matched the DHW system to that of the notional but am still getting these figures. Does anyone have any suggestions please?
Thanks,
Todd

Make sure that the systems you apply to your ''System'' and ''Aux. Vent System'', if different to the ''DHW System'', do not have 'Hot Water' tab filled out for storage etc. as it will double count the hot water usage and your DHW will be much higher.
Best way to verify if you've not made any mistakes is to match the DHW system with notional one and see if you're getting the same number on BRUKL with a heat pump DHW. If they're out, means you've set it up incorrectly somewhere.
