Nice one Gary,
Just be aware when using the Edit Group Attributes to edit the NCM Lighting data that it isn't as "friendly" as other Edit Group Attributes tools in <VE> and you'll have to make sure you input all the data at once.
I've asked for this to be improved so that you can choose what variables on this dialog you want to edit for multiple rooms like the other Edit Group Attributes dialogs (using the tick boxes at the side)

PCully..
You've got me worried, can you clarify what you mean by inputting all the data at once?
Do you mean that you have to uncheck all the tickboxes and edit each one even if you're leaving as is. (e.g.) changing the illuminance but leaving the fuel as electricity?
What happens if you don't do this?
Thanks

Re: VE Compliance - NCM Lighting values
Relax, if you're editing Internal Gains (for Apache) using Edit Group Attributes it's fine because each input has a tickbox to select which you would like to edit.
The SBEM NCM Lighting data (edit this on the Building Regs tab of Room data) doesn't have a tickbox for each input so you have to edit them all at once - you'll see what I mean when you look at the dialog in EGA.
Not to worry the IES Dev team are on this and it will be improved in a future version

Re: VE Compliance - NCM Lighting values
Hello,
Slightly different topic.
I have set all my rooms to the NCM activities and there associated HVAC systems ect through the template Manager.
When I select rooms using the "edit group room attributes" function all the NCM activities are greyed out but set to the default i.e office Cellular office etc?
Does this mean the templates have not been assigned to the coorect zones? Confused?
Also if I enter all my lighting information this way is there any way to check it without querying each zone again?

Parklife - I couldn't have said it better myself
I really can't come up with any extra guidance or reassurance than you have!

Re: VE Compliance - NCM Lighting values
Thanks for your help, few more queries in my ignorance!
Checking my data globally by doing a show me report which shows that every room is assigned to the Default lighting template, but when I query the indivual room the lighting is set properly with w/m2 and lux levels.
When I do a export room data file to excel, it doesn't seem to cover the lighting.
Surely this can be checked without going into numerous zones and using the query facility. Also if I was to set up template for the different lighting types then I couldn't specify the w/m2 and lux levels anyhow.

Missed this before, conveniently since now you can use VE 2012 with Tabular Room Data in VE Compliance giving a quick and easy way to export all the Thermal Room Data in your project to excel and then review it quickly and easily there
