Solar shading methodology query

I'm looking into the calculation methodology for the "Solar Shading Calculations tool", in relation to solar shading applied at construction level e.g an local shade local protrusion.
Following links are relevant:
https://help.iesve.com/ve2026/shading_devices.htm
https://help.iesve.com/ve2026/10_1_sola ... apache.htm
It indicates that if the window width is input incorrectly the calculation will be incorrect. I assume from the required information that SunCast is calculating angular transmission factors based on the distance between the right and left shade. I have been trying to verify this, but unable.
My query -
I have a single window with protrusions serving multiple spaces with a width of 2m. I have modeled 2 windows, one for each space with a combined width of 2 meters. If I set window width in the local shading in the construction to 2m, how does this impact a modeled window that is not 2m wide?
