Hi,

The only way to bring in the separate buildings from other projects would be to export them as a GEM file from project1 then import to project2 but you would need to reassign all the thermal data again in the new project.

Alternatively, model them all together in the same project and assign to a layer than is off or exclude them from the analyses when you only want to focus on a single building? I think you may find this method easier for your purposes.

I would model them separately unless they significantly share systems together or have significant physical connections. If you're just interested in how they shade eachother you don't actually need to model them all together at once, in fact (depending on your machine) it will be much much faster to just model them separately. With lots of zones, not only is thermal simulation getting slower (especially if your model invokes MacroFlo), but IESVE itself may grind to a halt.

One more thing: geometric model creation and manipulation. You'll find that it will be more difficult to manipulate the model and rotate it since (starting with V5.9 I believe) you can only rotate the model about the origin, not the centre of the viewscreen, so if your model is large and spread-out it'll be hard to get the correct view.

I'd just create the models one by one, and when the time is right create a batch file and simulate all of them in one go.
