Hi,
I am wondering if we can customize IES through a scripting interface / plug-in capabilities?
Regards,

No, there is no routes open to users to modify <VE>.
Out of curiosity - what would you like to modify? I am sure over time greater levels of customisation will be available within <VE> starting with basic things like the ability to move toolbars around the screen to find a view that suits your working needs. If you let me know any areas you feel could improve then I can feed this back into the development team to consider in future plans.

Hi Phil,
I am a researcher/developer working on a project that integrates architecture and services (HVAC) design in the early design stage. IES is the most robust analysis software we found for Australian context and we'd like to integrate it to our iterative parametric modeling approach which takes into account analysis from IES back to Revit (and other parametric CAD tools). However, the limitation of customisation means that we always have to rely on the graphical user interface to input data in successive iterations.
Customising existing CAD are not that problematic anymore since a lot of them have opened up an SDK or plug-in capabilities so that iterative flexible modeling can be achieved through coding. We'd like to do performance based modeling with input/output to IES with some coding to automate some of the process involved, but this seems to be unavailable for now?
By the way, I wonder if IES imports schedule data from gbxml imported from Revit?
Revit 2010 has done a wonderful export of the geometry and also schedules if they're available. It seems that IES does not import the schedule, only the geometry?
Thanks.
