Humidification in ApacheHVAC

Post by tat2109 »

I am in the process of modelling a Datacentre in ApacheHVAC. Has anybody had any experience modelling humidifcation in ApacheHVAC using either the spray chamber or steam humidifier components. I am having difficulty working out the controllers to set the system to maintain a relative humidity of above 30%.

Any assistance would be appreciated. What would be great is if anybody could send me a cab file of a model that they have setup with this style of system.

I've done it before with a steam humidifier. I used an independent controller (doing proportional control) to get it working, using room RH% as feedback signal and the control point is placed just downstream of the humidifier. I've also got an 'AND' connection to a dependent controller (doing setpoint control) to deactivate the device at a high enough RH%.

Unfortunately, I can't send you a cab file for confidentiality reasons, but if you have questions I can help.
