All, How do i make sure the Solar HW system and panels sqft I specified in the Building Template Manager:Thermal Conditions:HVAC System dialogue box is accounted for in the Apache HVAC systems I create? Is there anywhere in the ApHVAC tool to enter solar HW?
Only a percent of the HW needs will be met by the panels so how do i know the remainder will be met by the HW system?

Hi,

You can set up the DHW system parameters and any Solar Water Heating in the apache systems dialog. I would suggest you create a separate system for the DHW, click the Domestic Hot Water button to input the DHW and Solar Heating details. Then in the room thermal template or in room data make sure you edit the DHW System to use the DHW system you have defined.

Depending on how you set this up the Solar Heating will be initially applied then the Heating Generator will supply the rest.
