damper set controller

Post by la_bets »

Hi,

I am having a problem controlling a return air damper set with percentage flow controller: when i check the network I get an error message saying "percentage controller must be associated with a damper set".
I see it works with the mixing damper set but not with the return air damper set. I am currently using version 6.0.3, is it a known issue? Is there any other whay I could control airflow in a similar way?

thank you
Bets

Just a dumb question, but did you ensure your controller arrows are pointing in the right direction?

Hi,

thank you for your reply, but I'm not sure what you mean. I only used (or tried to use) one controller with percentage flow and the arrow was pointing the duct. I try to place it in one of the two flowstreams right after the return air damper set and it wasn't ok. Should there be more than one?
cheers

I asked because I sometimes make the mistake of putting the arrow where the feedback signal comes from (i.e. the controller is backwards).

BTW, each damper set must have a controller, so (if I'm understanding you correctly) if you are using two cascaded damper sets, each damper set must have a controller.

Perhaps if you posted an image of this part of your APHVAC network it would help figure out what's wrong.
